Waaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiii YA!

I’ve got a bruised nose, a throbbing head, a sore cheek, my collar bone playing up, a slight limp, and matt-burns somehow on the top of my foot.
Kickboxing really takes it out of me. In a good way, that is.
Forty-five minutes of non-stop boxing. I’ll admit, the classes don’t seem as strenuous as they did before I got my black belt, but that doesn’t stop me from waking up in the morning and feeling lots of pain.
Adrenaline kicks off when you start sparring. Especially when you find yourself going three rounds with an enthusiastic second dan. Especially when you get tired in the third round and he punches you straight on the nose. I believe that’s part of the reason why I have a splintering headache right about now.
The other part must be when I got bopped again. I’m too busy protecting my breasts from all the blokes who seem to forget that I have them. They have groin guards for the men, so why not breast guards.
Even though I can openly say I took a beating tonight, I went home with the satisfaction that I got a few sweet hits in myself that made some people reluctant to fight me again. Not the big blokes, though, only people my size. Sigh.
It’s like a strange high (not TOO Fight Club-like, but it’s true) albeit doesn’t last very long. When the adrenaline vanishes and I stop shaking like a leaf, I actually feel in a lot of pain. Like now. Owwie… :(
